A favourite place of mine for a walk on the beach. The rocks at Broadway, South Glenelg protrude into the sea and create a resting place for seabirds; waves constantly splash and break over the rocks.

This is the first time I have used real sand for the beach, giving the painting a coarse texture. A painting knife was used to apply the paint to the sea and sky.
